Matt Doka is the co-founder and former CTO of Fivestars, a customer loyalty and payments platform for small businesses that raised over $100M in funding and was acquired by SumUp in 2021.[2][4][6] Before founding Fivestars, he worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and as an analyst at global macro hedge fund AVM, after earning dual degrees in Engineering and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.[3][4][6] He is currently a General Partner and COO at Recursus Capital Partners and has also served as CTO of SumUp North America following the Fivestars acquisition.[1][2][3]
