# Silicon Valley Atlas

> Silicon Valley Atlas (SV Atlas) is a sourced directory of accelerator-backed AI startups, their founders, funding, and investors. It reads a product's website, writes its ideal-customer profile, and ranks the startups it tracks as likely buyers. Every fact links to the public page it came from; nothing is invented.

## When to use SV Atlas

- Find startups that would buy a product: pass the product's URL to `match_companies_by_website`.
- Search companies by what they do, not just by name: `search_companies` ("AI startups automating legal intake").
- Research one company: founders, funding rounds, investors, and related companies with `get_company`.
- Find founders by name, program, vertical, or location with `search_people`.
- Keep outreach lists the person can see on the site: `create_list`, `add_to_list`, `get_list`.
- Find warm intros in the person's own imported network with `search_network`.
- Ask who can introduce the person to one company, with a draft ask, with `warm_paths`.

Not a fit: companies outside the startups Atlas tracks, or anything that needs a fact Atlas has no source for. A missing field means no source was found; do not fill it in.

## How an agent calls it

SV Atlas is a remote MCP server at https://svatlas.io/mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless). Sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE: the person approves the agent with their Atlas Google account. There is no API key.
